Steve and Barbara Wilkinson, along with their two sons, Paul and Timothy, served as missionaries living in the Philippines for 20 years.  But, since 2019, they have been based here in New Castle.  Steve now serves in an expanded missionary role.  He still teaches seminary classes for Filipinos, but they are online now. During the past 5 years he has been also a member of Converge’s Asia Impact Team. It has been tasked to catalyze gospel movements in the closed countries of Asia – difficult countries where Converge cannot send long-term missionaries presently. The Asia Impact Team identifies indigenous ministry partners in these closed countries and trains and coaches their leaders to evangelize unreached people groups around them. He does this through daily contact made possible by the internet and by trips to countries in Asia. During the next three weeks of April we will hear more about Steve’s ministry to make disciples who make disciples, helping Asians to reach Asians. Today we will pray for the vast numbers of the unreached people groups scattered across Asia. We will pray that light of the gospel will displace the darkness in these many places.

How Does Understanding Conversion Shape Ministry?
Learn More

The way a church operates says a lot about how they believe people are saved. When a church truly embraces the Bible’s teaching on conversion, they will call people to repentance and faith―not just one-time decisions, therapeutic healings, or moral lifestyles.

This short book was written to help churches rightly understand the difference that a biblical doctrine of conversion should make for teaching, evangelism, discipling, membership, and every other facet of the life of a local church.
